*Locations further than 30min from Oakland incur extra charge based on distance. Studio fees apply for sessions in photo studio space.

What to expect during the session
Preparing your pet:
1. Grooming: Give your pet a good bath and brush before the session. This will help them look their best!
2. Exercise: Take your pet for a walk or play session to burn off excess energy before the shoot. This will help them relax during the session and make it easier to capture their natural expressions.
3. If your pet is not comfortable around strangers then it may take a while for them to get accustomed to having a photographer in their personal space.
The day of the session:
1. The photographer will start by getting to know you and your pet.
2. Finding comfort: It's essential to ensure that your pet feels comfortable throughout the session. The photographer will give your pet time to explore the surroundings and settle in before beginning the shoot. This can help alleviate any nervousness or hesitation with your pet.
3. Pet photography sessions require patience, as furry friends can be unpredictable. The photographer will work at your pet's pace, capturing their unique personality and natural interactions. Make sure to have plenty of their favorite treats and toys to keep them engaged!
After the session:
After the photography session, the photographer will send you a preview gallery to choose your final edits. The photographer will guide you through the process of choosing prints, canvas displays, or digital copies, depending on your preferences and package options.

Although dogs are my favorite pets, each owner loves their pet as their own family member (sometimes even more)!
It’s not until our animals are no longer with us that we realize we don’t have any great pictures of them to display.
